“In 2007, I had trouble falling back to sleep after patient phone calls late at night as a family doctor. My husband suggested that I listen to something to take my mind off of patient concerns. Since I didn't want to disturb my husband while he slept, I needed headphones or ear buds I could wear in bed. But there was nothing comfortable on the market. I couldn't sleep on my side with headphones, and ear buds are just painful. So I came up with stuffing speakers inside a headband. We found very thin high quality speakers, bought super soft fleece, and began sewing and soldering. We decided it was such a great invention that we had to start the SleepPhones company!”

Mission Statement
AcousticSheep, LLC designs and manufactures soft comfortable headphones in a patented headband design, with an emphasis on using environmentally-friendly materials and manufacturing processes. We strive to use local resources, stay technologically-savvy, and be socially responsible as we create the market for innovative headband headphones.
Intellectual Property
AcousticSheep methodically creates its innovative and proprietary designs and aggressively pursues U.S. and International Utility Patents, Design Patents, Design Registrations, Trademarks, Shape Marks, Copyrights, and Trade Dress protection. We take our inventions and designs seriously and expect both our competition and our trade partners to do the same. AcousticSheep vigorously enforces its patents and trademarks, and it seeks court orders stopping the sale of the infringing products, substantial monetary damages (up to three times damages when available by law), and legal fees and costs. We have some of the best I.P. enforcement available and have a global reach at all levels of the trade channel, including manufacturing, import/export, customs, distribution, and retail.
2013 Canada flash sale site immediately ceases the promotion of a US-based knockoff firm. Firm is not paid for the products sold, and firm ceases marketing and distribution of knockoffs. Further action being pursued. 2013 US popular auction site immediately removed infringing postings without notice upon notification. 2013 International trading site immediately removed infringing postings upon notification. 2013 Chinese knockoff attempting to sell on Amazon was reported and products were removed. Further action being pursued.
